The welders at Ragan Mechanical maintain their qualifications to the latest requirements set by Section IX of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Certified procedures include:
- Shielded metal arc welding
- Gas tungsten arc welding
- Gas metal arc welding.
Ragan welders commonly work with:

- Stainless steel
- Aluminum alloys
- Nickel alloys, such as Iconel
- Hastaloys
- Low-, medium- and high-chrome alloys
Ragan maintains Certificates of Authorization stamps for PP (power piping) and R (boiler and pressure vessel) repair.

To maintain our current status with regard to code work, we comply strictly with the standards determined by the ASME Professional Development program and by the National Board of Inspection Code.
Ragan Mechanical employs craftsmen who have completed a minimum 5-year apprenticeship training program of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada. Our officers and general supervisors have a combined 150-plus years of experience in the mechanical contracting industry; key supervisors exceed 20 years’ experience each.
